color renderingHolistic in its approach and intergenerational in its appeal, the North 80 (formerly known as North 60) is an innovative bioscience, technology and lifestyle campus that expands and enhances Westchester County’s thriving biotech/healthcare sector.

Centrally located in the Town of Mount Pleasant on 80 acres of land adjacent to Westchester Medical Center and New York Medical College, the North 80 is in close proximity to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, the nation’s fastest growing biotech company. It will feature nearly 3 million square feet of cutting-edge biotech research labs, start-up incubators, eco-friendly office/medical and retail spaces, with access to the nation’s most highly educated and skilled workforce.

The $1.2 billion project will generate thousands of new high-paying careers in bioscience, healthcare and research, plus support a steady stream of construction, hospitality and retail jobs. It will also create career opportunities for students in the emerging bioscience field by forming partnerships with nearby Westchester Community College, Pace University and New York Medical College.

The North 80 will be designed to create a strong sense of place with a pedestrian-friendly Main Street lined with shops, a hotel and conference center, restaurants with outdoor dining and landscaped plazas as gathering places. It will be a walkable and interconnected community with sidewalks, paved multi-use paths, pedestrian bridges and bikeways connected to a regional bike network.

In a feature unique to the region, the North 80 will have a Children’s Living Science Center designed to promote STEAM education and the improvement of children’s health through dynamic and interactive programming.

The developer of the North 80 is Fareri Associates, a premier development company in Westchester and Fairfield counties with more than 40 years of experience. John Fareri is founder of the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at the Westchester Medical Center.  The North 60 is projected to open in 2021.
