BOMA LuncheonApril 13, 2017 - The 2017 outlook for Westchester County’s cities was the focus of a special panel discussion presented by the Building Owners and Managers Association of Westchester (BOMA). The panel included Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson and White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach. Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett was the moderator. The mayors provided their perspective on the future of development and job growth in their cities.

CE Astorino announces the 2017 Trailblazer Award winnersFeb. 13, 2017- In celebration of Black History Month, Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino was joined today by Barbara Edwards, Esq., Chair of the Westchester County African American Advisory Board, at the Jay Heritage Center in Rye, to unveil the new Westchester County Guide to African American History and Heritage and to announce this year’s Trailblazer Award winners.

“Black History Month is a time to celebrate and reflect on the many contributions African Americans have made throughout the United States,” said Astorino. “Westchester County is home to several unique sites for visitors to observe this important month and our updated Guide to African American Heritage and History is a roadmap to discover the rich African American culture in our backyard.”

DannonFeb. 7, 2017 -- County Executive Robert P. Astorino offered congratulations and thanks to Danone North America, which today announced it will remain in Westchester County and move its headquarter offices and accessory food laboratory to downtown White Plains. The new location at 100 Bloomingdale Road will become home to more than 400 Danoners beginning early next year during a move to a re-imagined space that previously served as a retail location.
